Brooke Lewis is a vivacious and stunning scream queen that's building her own horror empire. With experience in both acting and producing - she'll give you a show you can really sink your teeth into!  If you haven't heard of Brooke Lewis, or her Ms. Vampy alter ego, you will now!

DamnedSociety: Thank you for joining us Brooke, How are you doing this evening?

Brooke: Vanessa, I am Vampylicious! And, I feel DAMNED lucky to be here with you and your readers this evening!

DamnedSociety: Your Ms. Vampy character was the first to catch my attention, so lets start with her. How did she and her webshow initially come into existence?

Brooke: Well, that’s awesome, Vanessa! She seems to catch a lot of people’s eyes…or, their necks! ;)
MS. VAMPY is a true blessing! I had played a sexy, sassy, sarcastic, high maintenance, comedic Vampire character a few times for fun…she is a cross between Betty Boop and Marisa Tomei in ‘My Cousin Vinny’ with a hard east coast accent and fangs! J My strategic marketing executive, Keith Cunnigham, created a promotional marketing concept for her and she just exploded (well, she is very LOVEABLE!!!). One of my best friends and business partners, the incredible Todd Tucker of DRAC Studios fame, came up with the idea to produce a web series/pilot for MS. VAMPY and I ran with it from there!

DamnedSociety: Where is Ms. Vampy from? Because that is no Transylvania accent!

Brooke: Ms. Vampy was born in Transylvania, but moved to BROOKLYN, baby!!! In case your readers don’t know much about her, here’s her story:

“Ms. Vampy is America's funniest, sexiest, sassiest and most high maintenance vampire! Her personality is as big as her hair and is often described as Betty Boop meets Marisa Tomei in My Cousin Vinny. She loves pleather and fur and wouldn’t be caught “dead” without high heels! But, there's much more to this loveable vampiress.

While she looks young and vibrant, Ms. Vampy is one of the oldest gals on earth.  At 110-years-old, she was born in 1899 in Transylvania. She was a shy and innocent child, but after a few too many shots of Lauder’s Scotch Whisky on her 18th birthday, she jumped on the bike of a tattooed mate and sealed her fate! Moments after being bitten, she grew wildly thick hair, fangs, plump lips, bodacious tatas, and an insatiable sex drive. As she puts it, "I went from being a brainy bookworm to a blood-loving, vampire sexpot in just minutes."

In the 1920s, Ms. Vampy's travels took her to New York and she fell in love with Brooklyn. It was there where she developed her attitude, sarcastic sense of humor, and ridiculous accent. She spent most of her time in the big apple filming movies and seeing Broadway shows, but she has a secret many don't know…Ms. Vampy went crazy for Philadelphia Eagles football and soon became an assistant coach, but was fired after one month for not showing up to any day games. She moved back to New York for a short time, but a torrid love affair with a very jealous and young Wall Street vampire went bad, so she headed west to seek out new friends and victims.

These days, Ms. Vampy lives in her Hollywood Villa and is often seen on night shoots, shopping in Beverly Hills for Dior or hanging out at Lakers' games with her horror friends. She loves 80s rock and disco, her favorite band is Vampire Weekend and she never misses American Idol or Millionaire Matchmaker on TV. Her secret dream is to join the cast of HBO’s True Blood (of course, she thinks it’s a “reality” show)! She enjoys Godiva Chocolates and Bloody Marys and she loves to play Xbox when she’s feeling feisty. While she has yet to marry or have children, she freely admits to being boy crazy and hopes to someday make-out with Robert Pattinson.

Ms. Vampy is forever sexy, funny, young, and obnoxious, but her heart is as big as her mouth. If she ever bites you, it'll be with love.

DamnedSociety: I heard Ms. Vampy is working on something new for the kiddies. Can you tell us a little bit about that project?

Brooke: Ms. Vampy is the luckiest lil Vampire in Hollywood! And, I would say that Brooke’s pretty lucky these days too! J The character was soooo well received both in and out of the horror world, I came up with an idea that truly inspired me.

Her fans have been tremendous and have run the gamut from young horror guys to families to single Moms to kids and tweens! I pitched my idea to Todd Tucker at DRAC Studios and he was quickly inspired, as well. Todd, Harvey Lowry and DRAC Studios had just completed their family film, MONSTER MUTT, and are experienced in this genre and I couldn’t imagine a more perfect home for this project!

I assembled an incredible team for this project with Todd directing, my partner, Jim Pacitti, acting/producing and my super funny and talented writer, Tamar Halpern. I legally cannot reveal too much about the film at this point, but it is a Halloween family film, in which Ms. Vampy leaves Brooklyn for the Hollywood music industry

DamnedSociety: Ok now on to Brooke! Have you always done horror related work? Or did you start off with more mainstream projects?

Brooke: Vanessa, you have done your research! ;) Although I was a huge horror fan as a kid, my earlier acting work was definitely more mainstream. I was singing and dancing from a young age, which led me into musical theatre back east which led me into comedy in New York and I did Tony n’ Tina’s Wedding Off-Broadway for 3 years. This led me into edgy NY indie films from drama to comedy to mobster movies to TV pilots. I soon took off to Hollywood to pursue more TV stuff.

I landed a low budget horror film and was hooked! I started Philly Chick Pictures and partnered with larger production companies to create a few horror/thrillers and have been fortunate to work in the horror community ever since. I have worked in many genres, so I can confidently say that the horror genre is the most supportive and encouraging genre in the industry

DamnedSociety: Whats your favorite horror movie and why?

Brooke: I have 3 faves: THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE, FRIDAY THE 13TH, PROM NIGHT (The Originals!). I think I have to choose THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE. I remember watching it on video when I was a kid and I was terrified! When Hitchhiker (Edwin Neal) cuts his hand in the van and then smears it on the outside, I was toast! It is moments like those that send chills down my spine. I love films that push the envelope.

DamnedSociety: I see you have an endless IMBD page. Is there any specific role that you enjoyed the most?

Brooke: Hmmm…I wish it were way more “endless” and way more profitable ;) That’s a tough one, because I have played so many good characters in my career. I soooo enjoyed playing the lil “guidette” Gina Grizano on the FOX sitcom QUINTUPLETS, she was really fun. I loved Grace in KINKY KILLERS, because she has many “sides” to her character. Lori in iMURDERS was a great opportunity, because I got to play a tough, strong character outside of my typical casting. Tammy Hart in DAHMER VS. GACY was one of my most challenging roles and I am proud of my work. But, let’s not forget my balls-to-the-wall character Ms. Vampy J She is my alter ego who is fearless, confident, loveable, straightforward and doesn’t care what people think of her…all the traits I aspire to!

DamnedSociety: Tell us a little about your production company "Philly Chick Pictures".

Brooke: In 2002, I created Philly Chick Pictures to "produce entertainment with an attitude". My movie career started as an actress in low budget independent fims in NYC. I was always the actress with a ton of energy and a business brain, who would call in a favor to attach talent, crew, locations or think fast enough to do damage control on a set. After doing this work for other people's companies or projects and not being credited or compensated properly, I finally realized that I had been "producing" all along! I learned that I have a creative soul and a business mind. I have never been the type to sit back and wait for things to happen, so I started Philly Chick Pictures to further my acting and producing career, make films with an edge and find and develop strong roles for women! Seven years later, I am still learning and growing every day and with each project I choose. I have made a lot of mistakes in my career, but am very committed to learning from them and moving forward!

DamnedSociety: Do you have an idol? Someone that keeps you motivated?

Brooke: Many! Mae West, Elizabeth Taylor and all the seasoned women of horror…Adrienne Barbeau, Karen Black, Leslie Easterbrook, Dee Wallace and Priscilla Barnes. My inner Ms. Vampy keeps me going every day!

DamnedSociety: Is there anything you would like to accomplish in 2010?

Brooke: EVERYTHING! I have so many dreams and aspirations. I want a lot more of what I have been blessed with right now, but bigger pay checks J Most importantly, I want love, health, happiness, abundance, integrity and to be the best person I can be every day.

DamnedSociety: thank you so much Brooke for gracing us with your presence, and please keep us updated on any new projects!

Brooke: Thank you for your gift of this interview and introducing me to your readers and Damned Society. Much success to all in 2010.
