I’ve been writing practically since I learned the alphabet.  As a youngster, I used to write and illustrate short “books” that I’d staple together and show friends and family.
However, you might say I first “got serious” about my writing in middle school, when I began writing poetry regularly.  I published a poem called “The Murder” in the school’s literary magazine, and got such recognition for it that I decided to continue down the poetry path.

I still write poetry to this day, and have explored a variety of different styles.  In addition, I’ve really begun to explore the world of journalism, particularly online.  My first “journalistic” experience, you might say, was the art magazine Magnum Opus at Adelphi University.  Several of my poems were published in it, and later I joined the staff, hunting down submissions from others.  One semester, I served as Features Editor, writing music- and Web-related articles; at this point, I started to develop an interest in that type of writing.

In April of 2008, I discovered Associated Content, a.k.a. “The People’s Media Company,” whom I still write for to this day.  I started off writing primarily music-related articles for them, but later expanded to include restaurant reviews, book reviews, health-related content, and local reviews of Atlanta attractions.
In addition, I occasionally write for Examiner.com, also covering local events and restaurants, and ReGen Magazine, an online music publication.  I’ve done several interviews for them, including industrial singer Frightdoll (now known as Miss FD); Dick Valentine of Electric Six; and KatieJane Garside of Ruby Throat and Daisy Chainsaw.
At Damned Society, I hope to broaden my horizons in the creative field and meet others with a figurative taste for blood.

The Director's Cut - Metal Head. Horror Fiend. Blogaholic. Animator

stonerphonic REDUX - I'm a freelance writer with a passion for the horror genre, and an avid animator looping old & new horror movie frame 'grabs'. I love my woman, I'm passionate about everything I do, I don't do things in halves, and I'm loyal to my community. I dig metal, stoner, sludge and prog sounds, and nothing rocks my world harder than the sound of a Fender Strat shredding over solid, relentless doublekicks.

I believe in freedom, just as much as I believe in honor & respect.

I have asked for a trade on Justin Beiber's life to get Dio's life back. I'm still waiting for a reply...

It just flows once i get going is best how i can explain my writing process. for close to 15 years i have written mostly lyrics that some were turned to song. Ive played in numerous bands through the years and had many opportunites to play my music all over the world.

For hollow i kept a three year journal called nza's diary. it wasn't all about music , it was the everyday lives of the people i was surrounded by. most recently ive been writing reviews for www.gearsofrock.com . so whether it is spewing a rant about the ramones or purging my thoughts on who is my favorite Jason , you will be hooked by how Nza twists his opinion

Hi gang! After my desire to write creatively recently made a zombie-like resurrection from the grave of its long hiatus, here I am. I've been a horror fanatic for some years now, and look forward to sharing some of my stories with you all.

Cheers

Joel
